Dem AG Josh Kaul has launched a new 15-second TV ad charging GOP rival Eric Toney is “unfit to be attorney general.”

According to AdIMpact, Kaul and the Democratic Attorneys General Association are poised to spend $1.7 million on paid media over the final week of the race. Toney and the Republican Attorneys General Association had laid down just under $900,000.

The narrator in the spot says Toney’s office “botches a case, telling a judge that a nine time felon didn’t have much of a record. That nine time felon got low bail and less than two weeks later killed a firefighter.”
