Milwaukee — This past week, Alex Lasry slammed the Supreme Court for overturning decades of legal precedent protecting women’s access to abortion and called out Ron Johnson for admitting that he played a role in the attempted overthrow of the government. Lasry also talked with MSNBC about his campaign’s momentum to beat Ron Johnson. He also traveled across the state to attend the Wisconsin Democratic Convention and celebrated Juneteenth and Father’s Day in Milwaukee.

Alex Lasry Bashes SCOTUS For Overturning Roe v. Wade

Alex Lasry released a statement following the Supreme Court Opinion to Overturn Roe V. Wade:

“Today’s news of the Supreme Court overturning Roe V. Wade is a direct assault on women’s rights. Sadly, today will be remembered as one of the darkest days in the history of the Court, as women will die as a result of this destructive decision by these Trumpian Justices.

“I’m furious and incredibly disappointed, not only for my wife and daughter but for all women in Wisconsin and across the country. Every woman deserves the right to control their own reproductive freedom—an essential element of a woman’s right to self-determination.

“The Republican Party has embraced extremism and gone too far. We must eliminate the filibuster and undo this attack on the fundamental and essential freedoms of women. This restriction on abortion care will harm women across the country, especially low-income and women of color. This is setting an incredibly deadly precedent across our nation.

“I’ll fight with everything I have to make sure access to safe and legal abortion is available in Wisconsin and nationwide. Alongside the incredible reproductive health care workers and reproductive justice fighters who work in Wisconsin, we will start that process by unseating Ron Johnson this November.”

Joe Wineke Announces Endorsement of Alex Lasry

Milwaukee – Today, former Democratic Party of Wisconsin State Chairman, Wisconsin State Senator, Assembly Member, and long-time labor leader Joe Wineke, announced his support for Alex Lasry in this year’s Wisconsin U.S. Senate Race.

“I’ve lived in Wisconsin all my life, and for the last decade I’ve had to deal with that sorry excuse of an incumbent Ron Johnson–but this is the first time I’ve seen where our chances to take him out of office are this great, and Alex Lasry is the only candidate that can do that this November,” said Joe Wineke. “I’ve served in the State Assembly, the State Senate, and as the former Chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, I know what it takes to win elections here. Alex is building a campaign with the right resources, support, and policy to send our do-nothing incumbent packing in November. I’m proud to stand alongside him as he seeks to lift up our working families and make our communities safer.”

Joe Wineke is the newest addition to Lasry’s growing list of endorsers from every corner of Wisconsin that know that Alex Lasry is the best candidate to take on Ron Johnson this fall.

New Marquette Poll Shows Primary Election Statistically Tied

Milwaukee – Today, the Marquette University Law School released a new poll showing the Democratic Primary for U.S. Senate is still in a statistical dead heat. Since last fall, Alex Lasry has continued to gain in the polls, positioning the election in a virtual tie.

“Like every recent poll in this race has shown, this new poll shows the Democratic Primary in a statistical tie, and Alex Lasry has the momentum to win,” said Campaign Manager Garren Randolph. “Lasry has gained the most ground since the first Marquette poll and continues to rise. It’s clear that voters are responding to his proven record of delivering real results for working Wisconsinites.”

.@AlexLasryWI   BREAKING NEW POLL: The primary race for Wisconsin Senate continues to tighten, and I am again statistically tied for first place.

These strong results reaffirm that our campaign is surging.

We’ve got the momentum to take on Ron Johnson and I plan to do just that.

Alex Lasry calls Ron Johnson a “Seditious Traitor” following the uncovering of Johnson’s attempt to change the outcome of the 2020 election.

Milwaukee — Alex Lasry released the following statement today following the uncovering of Ron Johnson’s attempted coup to overthrow the government and change the outcome of the 2020 election:

“Ron Johnson is a seditious traitor and a danger to our democracy. Trump and his MAGA allies planned, promoted, and paid for a radical plot to overturn an election they lost, and Ron Johnson attempted to deliver it for President Trump on a silver platter.

“The idea that a single American can attempt to overthrow the outcome of a fair and free election is perhaps the most egregious idea imaginable to the foundation of our Democracy.

“Ron Johnson and anyone else who played a part in this traitorous act should be held accountable to the fullest extent possible. If we continue to allow him to answer to no one, the attacks on our democracy and our communities will continue to grow.

“The only way we get rid of Ron Johnson is by voting him out of office, which is exactly what I intend to do this November.”

On Monday, Lasry talks with MSNBC Reporter Andrea Mitchell about his plan to defeat Ron Johnson this November.

Milwaukee – Alex Lasry appeared on MSNBC to highlight his significant rise in the polls over the past several months and to discuss about why he’s the best choice to take on Ron Johnson in November.

Since last fall, Alex Lasry has climbed over twenty points in the polls, and the most recent data has also shown that a majority of Democratic Primary voters believe he’s the best candidate to beat Ron Johnson in Wisconsin’s U.S. Senate race this year. Lasry credits his quick rise to his economic messaging.

The primary is now tied because “voters see our economic message and are looking for a change,” said Alex Lasry. He also slammed Ron Johnson by stating “for the last

twelve years Ron Johnson has done nothing other than benefit himself and his friends.”

.@MitchellReports On inflation & WI Sen race, @AlexLasryWI: “Since day one we’ve been talking about how to put money back in people’s pockets. And this is one of the areas that we differ with Ron Johnson on greatly. Johnson passed a tax cut that just benefited himself and his friends.” #AMRstaff

.@MitchellResports On state of the WI Dem Senate primary @AlexLasryWI: “I personally don’t think there’s a front-runner right now. As you can see from the polls everything is tight. But any Democrat in this race is going to be a hundred times better than Ron Johnson.” #AMRstaff
