Mary Kardoskee, the long-serving Village President for the Village of Ashwaubenon was appointed to the League of Wisconsin Municipalities Board of Directors bringing her experience in local government to the statewide governing body. The League is comprised of more than 600 members, representing both small and large cities and villages in rural and urban Wisconsin.

“I am very excited and honored to represent local municipalities on the Board of Directors for the League. This is a very critical time to see how we can fix the system currently in place for local funding so our citizens can be safe and have vital services to depend on,” said Kardoskee.
In 2022-23 the League’s 16-member Board will be working to set the strategic direction for the League at a critical time in the organization’s history. Cities and villages are facing challenging circumstances due to a broken system of funding local government. Wisconsin municipalities of all
sizes face a critical need to provide vital services, including EMS, police and fire services, to their community.

Kardoskee is married to Mick. They have one daughter and two grandchildren. Mary has served the Ashwaubenon community since 2005, with twelve years as Trustee and the last five and a half years as Village President. In her spare time, she likes to cook, and read. Mary is also a huge Packer fan.
