MILWAUKEE — Joel Brennan, president of the Greater Milwaukee Committee, will be the featured guest for an upcoming virtual “On the Issues” with Alan Borsuk, senior fellow in law and public policy, Wednesday, Feb. 23.

The discussion will be streamed live beginning at 12:15 p.m. on the Marquette Law School website. An archive of the event will be available on the Marquette Law School YouTube channel.

The Greater Milwaukee Committee is a private sector civic organization that aims to contribute to the cultural and economic base of the Milwaukee area. Brennan assumed his role as GMC president in January, moving into leadership of the influential organization as Milwaukee faces an array of changes and challenges. He most recently served as the secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Administration and brings experience in both the public and private sectors to his new role. Brennan will discuss his stated priorities of improving K-12 education, economic opportunity, workforce development, and infrastructure, and how he views the future of the GMC.

The virtual “On the Issues” is available to the public.

Through public programming such as the Marquette Law School Poll, debates featuring candidates in significant political races, “On the Issues” conversations with newsmakers, public lectures by leading scholars, conferences on issues of public significance, and the work of its Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education, Marquette Law School serves as the region’s leading venue for civil discourse about law and public policy matters.
