Representative David Steffen (R-Howard) was recognized as 2022 “Legislator of the Year” by the Wisconsin Professional Police Association (WPPA) for his continued support of law enforcement throughout the state. WPPA is one of the leading law enforcement groups in Wisconsin with more than 10,000 members.
WPPA makes its determination based on a cumulative scoring method that considers a wide array of law enforcement-related legislation brought forward over the course of the session. The score each legislator receives is calculated based on their actions and votes relating to these bills at every stage in the legislative process.
“Supporting the work of law enforcement officials was a priority of mine this legislative session,” said Rep. Steffen. “I am honored to receive this recognition from one of the most prominent and well-respected police organizations in the state.”
