Senate Leadership Fund hits Barnes over late property taxes

The GOP-aligned Senate Leadership Fund is up with new ads knocking Dem U.S. Senate candidate Mandela Barnes for being late in paying property taxes.

According to AdImpact, the group is scheduled to spend $2.2 million on TV in Wisconsin from yesterday through Monday. It's scheduled to spend $11 million from yesterday through the election.

Barnes started a TV ad last month charging U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Oshkosh, was "at it again" and lying about his taxes. In the ad, Barnes said he paid his taxes in full, but there "were times I was getting by on peanut butter sandwiches."
