Superior – Congressman Tom Tiffany (R-Minocqua) released the following statement in regards to Governor Evers refusal to join him for a press conference at the proposed site of the Nemadji Trail Energy Center:

“I formally extended an invite to Governor Tony Evers to join me, regional state legislative candidates, and members of the media to a previously planned press conference on the Nemadji Trail Energy Center today in Superior.”

“Instead of joining us to talk about the issues that are most important to the people of Wisconsin, such as the cost of energy and inflation, Governor Evers decided to skip the press conference.  If Governor Evers was truly interested in helping the people of Wisconsin and doing the right thing, which he has been claiming during his statewide bus tour, he would have gotten off his magic school bus and listened to what the people of Wisconsin are saying.”

“Governor Evers has the ear of President Biden and knows that the EPA is holding up The Nemadji Trail project.  This project is critical for Superior and the Northland.  It will provide clean and affordable energy to the people of Wisconsin.  Governor Evers must tell President Biden to get out of the way or get this project done.”
