Wisconsin Family Action: Responds to Dane County court judge ruling on Wisconsin’s pre-Roe abortion ban

MADISON – Today, Dane County Judge Diane Schlipper determined that the court case challenging Wisconsin’s pre-Roe law will continue rather than be dismissed. Last December, Sheboygan County District Attorney Joel Urmanski filed a brief asking the court to dismiss this case that Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul filed last year just days after the US Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in its Dobbs decision. Wisconsin Family Action president Julaine Appling responded to today’s court decision. “While we are certainly disappointed that the judge did not dismiss this case, we are hardly surprised. We have all along believed those advocating for abortion at basically any time

MADISON, Wis. – In a positive step toward restoring abortion rights in Wisconsin, Dane County Circuit Court Judge Diane Schlipper ruled today that a lawsuit brought by Attorney General Josh Kaul to challenge the enforceability of Wisconsin’s 1849 abortion ban can continue. “Since Roe v. Art that integrates data visualizations can help bridge the US political divide over climate change MADISON — Communicating science to a general audience can be challenging. But a new study from University of Wisconsin–Madison researcher Nan Li shows that intentionally integrating art with data visualizations can help non-expert audiences more meaningfully engage with climate change while also bridging political divides in ways that data alone cannot. In fact, data graphs on their own can exacerbate political division on climate change. As an assistant professor in
