To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers recently signed a $1.5 million contract to resurface WIS 73 between Shaul Lane and North Street in the Village of Deerfield, Dane County. Preliminary work is scheduled to begin June 5, 2023.
Payne and Dolan Inc. is the prime contractor for the project. The project is designed to resurface WIS 73, upgrade curb ramps, and reconstruct existing distressed pavement.
During construction, WIS 73 will remain open under flagging operations. WIS 73 will be closed for one week in July, weather dependent, for reconstruction of pavement the detour will utilize US 12/18, I-39/90 and I-94.
Project completion is scheduled for August 2023. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
