If Trump is reelected he has a plan to purge 50,000 current federal employees from their jobs and replace them with people of his choosing. The plan would bring back Schedule F, a workforce initiative Trump pushed in the 11th hour of his term to politicize the federal bureaucracy. Former officials and current Trump loyalists are creating lists of names to supplant existing civil servants.
Trump has confirmed publicly that he would consider weaponizing the federal government against his enemies if elected. Axios has reported powerful,outside allies are prescreening the ideologies of thousands of potential appointees to replace vast swaths of the federal bureaucracy with pro-Trump loyalists.
Trump will use thousands of foot soldiers, having sworn an oath to Trump to centralize and expand his power at every level of the U. S. Government if he wins in 2024. Trump-first loyalists will be placed in legal, judicial, defense, regulatory and domestic policy jobs. His inner circle plans to fire anyone hostile to the hard-edged authoritarian plans being put in place.
The people filling these roles will not be smart, experienced public servants but rather those holding unconventional and elastic views of presidential power and our “traditional rule of law.” Agencies such as the Justice Department, FBI, Homeland Security and Defense will be unleashed against political enemies.
If elected, Trump will use government as a weapon against our Democracy to do things none of us has seen in our lifetime.
When he tells you what he will do with your vote…… believe him; and think long and hard if you want your vote to end our 250-year experiment with Democracy.
