In times of great need in America President Franklin Roosevelt said, “The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little.”

One candidate holds that his America is “great” when those with abundance have much more than enough.

The other candidate believes America’s greatness is reached when everyone has the opportunity to have enough.

Before corporate greed was allowed to take away the American Dream our president and our government regulated how businesses operated. Businesses could not hire children and they could not force you to work beyond 8 hours without overtime.

A minimum wage had to be paid and unions were created and supported with the government backing collective bargaining. Government also created unemployment insurance and Social Security for times of need.

Unregulated capitalism only serves a select group at the top and the politicians the corporate elite pay to do their bidding.

Wealth doesn’t just bring more wealth; it brings more power. The power of money in the hands of the few becomes an unbroken governing cycle in which the people are never rewarded for making America great.

On November 5th we have the chance to elect a leader who will govern for the people who have made America great but have yet to feel its greatness.

One candidate proposes giving those who have much…..more.

The other candidate wants to help those with too little earn more.

Your vote can return America to a nation where everyone has the opportunity to have enough.
