Congressman Bryan Steil attended the Mid-Term Republican Convention in Texas in September. President Trump asked the crowd to pledge to “cheat like hell” in order to prevail in the Nov. 3 election.
“Please raise your right hand: I pledge, to the greatest president in the history of the United States, that loves us so much he can’t even breathe, that I will go out with my family, my friends,” began Trump, who paused after each line so that the crowd could repeat his lines. “I’ll do it any way. I don’t care if I’m registered or not. I’m gonna try and cheat like hell — like they do.”
Steil has proclaimed our elections need stricter regulations, such as an original birth certificate or a current passport to ensure that our elections are free of fraud. Steil did not oppose this pledge at the convention, nor has he condemned it while campaigning for reelection.
Wisconsin Congressman Steil has allowed thousands of Wisconsinites to lose affordable healthcare. He has ignored $4 per gallon gas, rising mortgage rates denying home ownership to many and spent nearly $40 billion of taxpayer money for the war in Iran. Steil has funded ICE with additional billions of dollars to terrorize, detain and deport immigrants who have done nothing wrong.
He has done nothing to stop administration attacks on our allies and the use of tariffs on trading partners, exploding the costs of our basic needs. Wisconsin families and children with food insecurity saw SNAP benefits removed along with access to childcare and healthcare.
Steil has turned a blind eye to the blatant corruption within the executive branch with billionaires, elites and corporations receiving tax cuts and pay-to-play access to wealth-increasing opportunities. Not a single word of protest for our national debt reaching $40 trillion, surpassing our GNP.
Congressman Steil has allowed our environment and our national parks to be opened up to pillaging for profit and clean air and water to be victimized for the sake of corporate gain. Wisconsin’s farmers have seen their markets disappear through tariffs and their fuel and fertilizer costs soar.
Steil’s voting record shows he works for Donald Trump, not the people he is supposed to represent, nor the people of Wisconsin.
Candidate Mitchell Berman is the choice to give the people their voice back. He will work for Wisconsinites, representing their needs, not the political agenda of whoever is sitting in the White House.
