Every small business begins with a dream. It may be a parent opening a restaurant after years of hard work, a family building a business they hope to pass on to their children, or an entrepreneur taking a chance on an idea that could make their community stronger. Behind every small business is someone willing to take a risk, work hard and believe tomorrow can be better than today. That belief is at the heart of the American Dream.
Small businesses are the backbone of our Wisconsin communities. They create jobs, support families, sponsor youth teams and local events, and bring people together. When a local business succeeds, the entire community has an opportunity to succeed with it.
But for many business owners, working hard is no longer enough to get ahead. Rising costs, workforce challenges and unnecessary barriers can make it difficult to hire, grow and invest in the future.
Wisconsin should be a place where people can build something, raise their families and have a fair opportunity to succeed.
As a first-generation immigrant, I know what that opportunity means. I came to this country with hope. I worked hard, pursued my education, built a career and became a proud American. The American Dream gave me the opportunity to build a life I once only imagined. I want the next generation to have that same opportunity.
As your representative, I will support policies that encourage entrepreneurship, strengthen our workforce and help Wisconsin businesses grow. Government should work with the people who are creating jobs and investing in our communities, not create unnecessary obstacles in their way.
Because the American Dream is bigger than owning a business. It is the hope that hard work can lead to opportunity, that our children can build better lives, and that families can believe their best days are still ahead.
I want Wisconsin to remain a place where that dream is possible not just for some, but for everyone willing to work for it.
