MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin Democrats plan to introduce a bill in the legislature that will require a 100% tax on payments from Trump’s January 6th slush fund which was created to pay off insurrectionists who beat up cops to defend his efforts to steal the 2020 election.
“Republicans like Bryan Steil and Derrick Van Orden claim to be the party of ‘law and order’ but will happily hand over taxpayer money to individuals who did everything from beat up police officers to get arrested for child sex abuse,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Rachel La Due. “Wisconsin Democrats are fighting back to make sure not a single dime of Wisconsinites’ tax dollars goes towards funding MAGA extremists.”
