ROTHSCHILD — GOP U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany, who has been considering a run for governor, knocked Dem Gov. Tony Evers today in a speech to Republican activists, telling them 2026 will tell the story of whether Wisconsin will be one of the “winners.”
Tiffany, R-Minocqua, asked whether Wisconsin will be one of the winners that will follow the lead of states like Texas, South Dakota and Tennessee — where he said people are moving — or will be one of the losers like Illinois and Minnesota.
He added, “2026 is going to tell that story.”

Tiffany didn’t mention his consideration of a guv run as he knocked Evers on various fronts, telling the crowd the Dem “would rather cuss at people than use the word mother.”
He slammed Evers for claiming to be the “education governor” as the state has fallen behind Mississippi on reading scores, calling it unacceptable.
Trump’s election, he said, means “the great reset is happening at the national level.”
“Are we going to put Wisconsin first? That is the question in 2026,” Tiffany said. “I’m prepared to work with all of you shoulder-to-shoulder to make sure we win in 2026. Let’s get it done.”
