MADISON — On Wednesday, May 27, the Wisconsin Elections Commission mailed a letter to USPS and Wisconsin’s elected officials in Congress regarding the timely delivery of absentee ballots by mail during the 2026 Spring Election.

It comes after the Commission voted on May 7 to send a communication to the Postmaster General and Wisconsin’s Congressional delegation, following reports from some clerks and voters that mailed absentee ballots took an unusually long time to reach their destinations during the April election. During that meeting, Commission staff shared a survey that asked Wisconsin county and municipal clerks to share their experiences about timely absentee ballot delivery.

The survey and letter are attached.
