Wisconsin has the right idea when it comes to lowering drug prices by reforming PBMs. It’s time for members of Congress to do the same in Washington, DC.

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and his allies are fighting desperately to protect his personal slush fund ahead of the August primary, spending millions trying to convince voters that frivolously wasting their money is his God-given birthright.

Because of what the U.S. Supreme Court has done, the federal government’s ability to respond to environmental and public health threats here in Wisconsin has been significantly diminished.

Doing nothing invites continued escalation.

A number of environmental groups and climate change advocates are said to “be ecstatic” about Kamala Harris’ move to the top of the Democratic ticket.

Kamala Harris’ entry into the race is rivaling Donald Trump’s RNC boost.

He is desperate and he is lashing out indiscriminately. He is sounding like a loser again.

Major international stories and those not meriting a road sign of a bump ahead have made up past October surprises. This year, however, feels different.

On Nov. 5 each voter will choose which America they want. Choose wisely, our democracy, is in your hands.

Children from Ashland to Janesville, from Holmen to Algoma will now see one part of how racial justice unfolded in our state when standing alongside the Vel Phillips sculpture.

These two proposed amendments seek to take away the ability of the governor to direct the spending of emergency funds available to respond to natural disasters such as tornados, floods, fires and the like.

Kamala Harris has signaled that court reform will be a focus of her surging bid for the presidency, aligning her candidacy with a tradition of progressive campaigning to tackle what former Wisconsin Sen. Robert M. La Follette once referred to as “judicial oligarchy.”

The fact is that the party has a nominee with the verbal dexterity to prevail against the lies and distortions ahead and none of Biden’s age-related baggage. So, should we heed the nitpicking conversation pundits or the sage operative who warns us to pump the brakes?

I can’t wait to see how they straddle this fence – either she’s been Grandpa Joe’s partner in crime, so to speak, or, if not, then she didn’t do anything for four years and doesn’t have the experience to be president.

My political party just re-nominated a candidate who growls like a kiddie cartoon villain — growls! — insults and veiled threats. Joe Biden may have been senescent; Donald Trump is just plain unhinged.

Harris doesn’t need to motivate her base. Even if she doesn’t say everything they want to hear, they will never abandon her or abandon the country to four more years of Donald Trump, This gives her room to move to the center, which she should start doing right away.

Even with the drop-off from 2021’s record high, about 300 different Wisconsin companies attracted more than $2 billion from angel and venture capital investors in the last three years. Not quite the “Magnificent Seven” yet, but some pretty good dreams are alive.

It will surprise precisely no one to read that University of Wisconsin–Madison faculty lean to the left. What is shocking is how complete the skew is. We believe UW officials and state leaders must recognize this problem and use the tools at their disposal to open the UW to greater diversity of thought.
