Wisconsin’s job market was bruised but not broken by the coronavirus pandemic. We have rounded the corner, and are already participating in the great American comeback.

The people of Wisconsin know establishment figures like Hillary and Biden got us into a sticky foreign policy and economic spot and they know Trump is getting us out of it.

While Congress and the Administration weighs a new funding package to respond to COVID-19, they should keep in mind the special needs of America’s seniors and those within immune-compromised communities, and focus on a “super-vaccine” that will ramp-up T-cell protection for our most vulnerable citizens.

Trump and Fox News have done an excellent job convincing a lot of Americans that all is well with their country today despite a botched response to a world pandemic and civil unrest in the streets.

City and state have some of the nation’s ‘worst inequalities’.

Our capitol city is under attack. Our state is under attack. There is an irrational, juvenile mob that is indiscriminately threatening our way of life. They have a mixed bag of demands and criticisms of our society. Some of their concerns are legitimate and are being addressed. Others don’t make any sense.

Dispelling the myth that Black Lives Matter protesters have targeted police.

Racism has caused a public health crisis, and police in schools are one of the conditions that has led to this crisis.

Racism, in all its forms, is an inconvenient truth.

Plus: Women support the Black Lives Matter movement, “defund the police,” and Trump’s handling of the pandemic.

Bad for companies, workers, consumers — and probably for Trump’s reelection chances.

Wednesday, Thompson becomes president of the 26-campus UW System that spends $6.3 billion a year, has 36,200 full-time employees and anchors regional economies.


The former four-term governor and federal health secretary — a man built for the arena — was announced to bipartisan acclaim as interim president of the University of Wisconsin System, riding in to rescue an organization reeling from COVID-19, fiscal calamity and a leadership crisis following its failed search for a permanent president.

Last year at Pride, the counter-protesters tried to take away people’s ability to share their experiences and to fight for better. But now, they’ve got an openly queer State Representative. And unfortunately for them, I’ve got a platform that I intend to use and to share.

Circumstances in WI have changed dramatically. Retiring GOP state Senator Luther Olsen, vice-chair of the Joint Finance Committee, gets it. Olsen boldly stepped up saying it was time to reconsider Medicaid expansion.

145 years ago, Ulysses S. Grant predicted a war between the forces of intelligence and patriotism and the forces of ignorance. On Tuesday night it happened in Madison.

It’s unfortunate, but not many remember the damning report about America’s racial problems we were all warned about more than 50 years ago.
