Gov. Walker: Calls Special Election for 10th Senate District

Contact: Tom Evenson, (608) 266-2839     MADISON – Governor Scott Walker today issued Executive Order #265, which calls a special election for the 10th Senate District following the appointment of the Honorable Sheila Harsdorf to Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection Secretary.Governor Walker ordered the special election to be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. If a primary is necessary, it will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. Circulation of nomination papers for candidates may begin today, November 10. Nomination papers must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. See a copy of Executive Order #265.
