Watertown PD recommends criminal charges against former Dem Assembly candidate Daniels

The Watertown Police Department is recommending charges against former 37th AD Dem candidate Charisse Daniels following an investigation into allegations from the Republican Assembly Campaign Committee that dozens of her signatures were fraudulently or improperly submitted. A police department statement today said investigators are requesting criminal charges relating to elections fraud and forgery be issued through the Jefferson County DA’s office against “an adult female Watertown resident age 30.” The statement doesn’t name the suspect, but the department received a request to investigate Daniels’ nomination papers and has previously acknowledged it had opened an investigation. DHS now projecting $102.4 million GPR surplus in Medicaid fund by mid-2019

The Department of Health Services is now projecting the state will have a GPR surplus of $102.4 million in the Medicaid fund at the end of the 2017-19 budget. The report on the fourth quarter, marking the halfway point of the current two-year budget, is an improvement from the projected $59.7 million surplus at the end of March.
