Elections Commission moving forward with April 15 nomination paper circulation

The state Elections Commission is moving forward with 2022 congressional candidates beginning to circulate nomination papers April 15. The U.S. Supreme Court two weeks ago overturned a ruling by Wisconsin’s justices that put in place legislative lines from Gov. Tony Evers. But the U.S. Supreme Court also rejected a request from the state’s GOP House members to nix the congressional map that the guv drew and the Wisconsin justices approved. Dem Alex Lasry’s U.S. Senate campaign has announced several hires, including Shannon Rice to serve as finance director. Rice has worked on several campaigns, including those of Dem U.S. Sens. Jeff Merkley, of Oregon, and Michael Bennet, of Colorado. Rebecca Osmolski will be the campaign’s digital director after serving in a similar role in the DC office of U.S. Sen.
