MADISON – The Department of Workforce Development (DWD) today released the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) preliminary employment estimates for the month of February 2020. The data shows that Wisconsin added 5,100 total non-farm and 3,500 private-sector jobs in the month of February. Wisconsin’s labor force participation rate in February was 66.9 percent, and the state’s unemployment rate was 3.5 percent. Place of Residence Data: Wisconsin’s labor force participation rate in February was 66.9 percent, 3.5 percentage points higher than the national rate of 63.4 percent. Wisconsin’s unemployment rate in February was 3.5 percent, equal to the national rate.
